1. Bedok Reservoir

Address: Along Bedok Reservoir Road, north of Bedok New Town

Located next to Temasek Polytechnic, Bedok Reservoir is a favourite place for many to go jogging, cycling and most importantly, fishing. Make sure though, to only use artificial bait that doesn’t interfere with the reservoir’s water quality.

You can often fish for non-native fishes such as the Armoured Sucker Catfish, Tarpon, African Walking Catfish and Peacock Bass. Be careful not to slip and fall into the reservoir as well as there are some unfriendly fishes who might bite a chunk of you!

 

2. Pandan Reservoir

Address: Penjuru Road #01-01. Singapore 609159

Before the development of Jurong, the swamps around Sungei anda was a fertile ground for prawn farming and provided fresh water for the residential areas in the western region.

You can find many unique fishes here such as Belida, Guppy, Soon Hock, Tilapia and Mackerel which would make for an excellent homemade meal!

 

3. Lower Seletar Reservoir

Address: Along Lentor Avenue and Seletar West Link (Lower Seletar Reservoir)

Near the fishing deck at Rower’s Bay, Lower Seletar Reservoir is a popular fishing spot for those who enjoy freshwater fishing.

You can often catch marine life such as Stingray, Barramundi, Peacock Bass and Giant Snakehead.

 

4. Serangoon Reservoir

Address: North Eastern Riverine Loop Park Connector Network, nearer to Punggol Promenade Nature Walk side

Situated along the Serangoon Reservoir, it’s a favourite place for many to fish at.

You can often find Flower Crabs and Sea Bass in this reservoir, so long as you fish at the right time when the tide is right!

 

5. Marina Reservoir

Address: Kallang Riverside Park

You can enjoy the city landscape in the centre of Singapore with other fishing hobbyists. But be sure to use artificial bait so as to not disturb the water quality.

You can often find species of fishes such as the Hound Needlefish, Peacock Bass, Snubnose Pompano and Halfbeak.

As part of the Clean Waters Programme initiative, this was made over from the stretch of Kallang River with floating look-out decks and interactive water features.

The Archimedes Screw and Water Wheel featured also helps residents get closer to the waterbody thus easier to fish!

A canal that cuts through the Dunman Road and Guillemard Road it acts as an aesthetically pleasing waterway. Multiple shelters surround the area for joggers and fishers hence is a convenient place to stop by for a casual fishing session.

 

10. Pelton Canal

Linkage connecting to Kallang Park and passing through the industry estate, you can fish here in peace with joggers and cyclists passing by.
